Maureen McBeth is a licensed physical therapist and certified lymphedema therapist with over 25 years of experience in oncology rehabilitation, clinical education, and patient advocacy. As Senior Medical Affairs Liaison at ImpediMed, she supports the integration of bioimpedance spectroscopy (BIS) into clinical practice for early lymphoedema detection and comprehensive body composition analysis. A nationally recognised educator, Maureen has trained clinicians across the U.S. and internationally, translating emerging evidence into practical clinical strategies. She regularly presents at major conferences and has published in peer-reviewed journals and textbooks. Maureen’s work reflects a long-standing commitment to improving patient outcomes through evidence-based, patient-centred use of BIS and other technologies in cancer rehabilitation and lymphatic health.
Richelle Gaw
Senior Research Scientist, ImpediMed
Based in Brisbane, Richelle Gaw is a Senior Research Scientist at ImpediMed with more than 18 years of experience advancing medical device technologies. Holding a PhD in Biomedical Engineering from Queensland University of Technology. Richelle is recognised as a subject matter expert in bioimpedance spectroscopy (BIS). Her work spans clinical trials, device engineering, data analysis, and education, ensuring the accurate and meaningful use of BIS in healthcare and research. Richelle’s expertise bridges the gap between scientific development and clinical application, providing practitioners with insights to interpret BIS data confidently and use it as a tool for comprehensive patient assessment beyond the L-Dex score.
Angela Caruso

Angela Caruso is a Product Manager at Regional Health Care Group, bringing over 25 years of experience across clinical education, healthcare consultancy, and technology implementation. With a background as an intensive care nurse and clinical educator, Angela has extensive experience supporting clinicians to integrate new technologies into everyday practice.
