Chronic oedema is a major problem in the ageing population with consequences that can impact on the quality of life of the individual. It is essential as health professional we identify this problem and then support them to effectively manage it.
This course will educate the health professional on how to effectively manage mild below-knee oedema.
It will comprise of:
- An online interactive course via the Lymphoedema Education Solutions learning management platform with quizzes to assess knowledge and clinical reasoning
- A virtual course where the individual will further develop their clinical reasoning and be taught the practical skills to assess and manage mild below-knee chronic oedema. This component will have a practical competency assessment.
- The course will also include 12 months access to resources and a 6-month mentoring program via zoom/ phone/email support ( up to 4 hours usually divided into 20 – 30-minute sessions).
