The Physician’s Lecture on Lymphoedema provides an excellent overview of lymphoedema, its pathophysiology, diagnosis and differential diagnosis. This course is beneficial for all medical professionals who want to educate themselves about this important disease, but are unable to commit to completing a lymphoedema certification course. The online Physician’s Lecture is also beneficial for medical doctors who need to know about lymphoedema, but are not interested in studying the manual techniques required for treating lymphoedema. Your host, Kathleen Francis, MD, explains lymphoedema in the most understandable manner, making it easy and interesting to follow along. No prior lymphoedema qualification is required.

This course is offered to all Medical Practitioners, Physiotherapists, Physiotherapy Assistants, Occupational Therapists, Occupational Therapist Assistants, Nurses, Podiatrists and students undertaking health professional qualifications.

Note: Persons without a medical background who are interested in learning about the anatomy and physiology of the lymphatic system are also invited to register for this online course, but will not receive continuing education hours/credits.

The tuition for this online course is $415.00AUD (inc GST). The full amount is due upon registration.

You are required to approve the Klose Training and Consulting, and Lymphoedema Education Solutions Participant Agreement on registration for this course.

To receive a Certificate of Completion, students must successfully complete an online quiz.

Upon completion of the course and successfully passing the quiz, the student will receive a Certificate of Completion verifying online course hours. The Physician’s Lecture on Lymphedema Online Course offers 5.0 contact hours of online continuing education.

The following agreement is made between the Online Course registrant (hereafter “the student”) and Klose Training & Consulting, LLC (hereafter KTC) and Lymphoedema Education Solutions (hereafter LES)

Prerequisites
The student undertakes the online course on the condition that they are suitably qualified in accordance with the online course prerequisites and hold a current registration or, for those that do not have registration, meet the requirements for their profession as per what is listed on the registration form.

Scope of Practice
It is the responsibility of the student – not KTC or LES – to ensure that the skills acquired through any Klose Training course are within their scope of practice as defined by their professional registration board. Any therapist who practices outside their scope of practice is jeopardizing the health of their client/patient and is at risk of losing their registration.

Access
Within three to five business days of receiving the student’s registration and payment, the student will be sent their username, password, and instructions on how to access and navigate the online course. The student will have 3 MONTHS of access to the online course, starting from the time they receive their username and password by email. The student needs to ensure they have a reliable internet connection when undertaking in the course work.

Online Quiz
In order to receive a Certificate of Completion, the student must be a registered health care professional and meet the prerequisites outlined as part of this course registration. The student must also successfully complete the online quiz at the end of the course by answering 80% or more of the questions correctly.

Tuition & Refund Policy
Course tuition is specific to the course. (Refer to the LES website.) The full amount is due at the time of registration. If the student cancels prior to the course access information being emailed, the student will be refunded the tuition electronically within 10 business days, minus a nonrefundable administrative charge of $50.00AUD. No refunds will be given after a username and password have been emailed to the student.

Certificate of Completion
Once a registered professional health care provider has successfully completed the quiz and signed and returned to KTC the Course Evaluation Form, Tracking Log, and Student Information Form, that student will be emailed a Certificate of Completion. (Non-professionals are not eligible for a certificate.)

Continuing Professional Education Points
KTC’s online courses may be used towards the student continuing education points for their professional body and the Australasian Lymphology Association’s National Lymphoedema Practitioners Register. The certificate will state the number of hours completed.

The student acknowledges that these materials are protected by copyright and other laws governing intellectual property and are, unless otherwise stated, the property of KTC. The student understands that they may print the manual and other curriculum documents only one time for the sole purpose of completing the online course they have purchased.
