The following agreement is made between the Online Course registrant (hereafter “the student”) and Klose Training & Consulting, LLC (hereafter KTC) and Lymphoedema Education Solutions (hereafter LES).
The student undertakes the online course on the condition that they are suitably qualified in accordance with the online course prerequisites and hold a current registration or, for those that do not have registration, meet the requirements for their profession as per what is listed on the registration form.
Scope of Practice
It is the responsibility of the student – not KTC or LES – to ensure that the skills acquired through any Klose Training course are within their scope of practice as defined by their professional registration board. Any therapist who practices outside their scope of practice is jeopardizing the health of their client/patient and is at risk of losing their registration.
Within three to five business days of receiving the student’s registration and payment, the student will be sent their username, password, and instructions on how to access and navigate the online course. The student will have 3 MONTHS of access to the online course, starting from the time they receive their username and password by email.
The student needs to ensure they have a reliable internet connection when undertaking in the course work.
In order to receive a Certificate of Completion, the student must be a registered health care professional and meet the prerequisites outlined as part of this course registration. The student must also successfully complete the online quiz at the end of the course by answering 80% or more of the questions correctly.
Tuition & Refund Policy
Course tuition is specific to the course. (Refer to the LES website.) The full amount is due at the time of registration. If the student cancels prior to the course access information being emailed, the student will be refunded the tuition electronically within 10 business days, minus a nonrefundable administrative charge of $50.00AUD. No refunds will be given after a username and password have been emailed to the student.
Certificate of Completion
Once a registered professional health care provider has successfully completed the quiz and signed and returned to KTC the Course Evaluation Form, Tracking Log, and Student Information Form, that student will be emailed a Certificate of Completion. (Non-professionals are not eligible for a certificate.)
Continuing Professional Education Points
KTC’s online courses may be used towards the student continuing education points for their professional body and the Australasian Lymphology Association’s National Lymphoedema Practitioners Register. The certificate will state the number of hours completed.
KTC and LES respects the student’s personal information and their privacy. KTC and LES will use their best efforts to protect the student’s personal information from unauthorised access. KTC and LES may use the student’s personal information to contact the student from time to time about products and services that KTC and LES think the student may be interested in.
The student appreciates that the course materials and online content being provided to them by KTC contain confidential and privileged patient information and photographs. The student acknowledges that these materials are protected by copyright and other laws governing intellectual property and are, unless otherwise stated, the property of KTC.
The student understands that they may print the manual and other curriculum documents only one time for the sole purpose of completing the online course they have purchased. The student will not remove from the materials any references to KTC’s copyright nor otherwise reproduce or re-transmit any of the materials in whole or part, in any manner, without the prior consent of KTC. The student understands to do so would be an ethical breach and a violation of copyright law. (These restrictions do not apply to course attachments that are clearly meant to be shared.)
The student understands that they are the only person allowed to access the KTC online courses with their username and password. They will not share their username and password with any other individual nor allow anyone else access to the online course or curriculum.
Lastly, the student acknowledges that KTC online courses are solely for the education and training of individual medical professionals. The student understands that they may share their accumulated knowledge with other professionals but never, under any circumstances, train nor certify any other individual in the course topic unless granted instructor privileges according to KTC guidelines.
