Information
In this webinar:
This webinar explores how BIS can be used as a comprehensive whole-body assessment tool across the ageing journey. Bringing together clinical expertise, emerging research and real-world experience, our presenters will examine how fluid distribution, body composition and cellular health change throughout later life, and how these changes can inform assessment, monitoring and clinical decision-making.
Using examples from aged care and other clinical settings, participants will explore the impact of ageing, frailty and common comorbidities on intracellular and extracellular fluid balance, oedema and body composition. The session will demonstrate how BIS findings can be interpreted alongside clinical assessment to provide a more complete understanding of an older person’s health and functional status.
Whether you already use bioimpedance spectroscopy or are interested in its broader clinical applications, this webinar will challenge you to think beyond individual measurements and consider how BIS can enhance person-centred care for the older adult.
