Information

July is Head and Neck Cancer Awareness Month, highlighting the impact of head and neck cancer treatment. Internal head and neck lymphoedema is often under-recognised but can significantly affect swallowing, voice, airway function, and quality of life.

In this webinar:

Stella Salpigtidis, Senior Speech Pathologist at Peter MacCallum Cancer Centre, will provide a practical overview of internal head and neck oedema from a speech pathology perspective, including assessment approaches, clinical indicators, and management strategies.

The session concludes with a Q&A panel featuring both Stella and Dr Amanda Pigott, exploring questions about internal oedema, its interplay with external lymphoedema and effective collaboration within multidisciplinary teams.
This webinar is designed specifically for lymphoedema therapists seeking evidence-informed, patient-centred strategies for assessment and management.

A follow-up episode of the Lymphoedema Insights podcast will be promoted as a companion learning resource.
