Learning Outcomes

By the end of this self-paced learning module, participants will be able to:

  • Recognise the clinical features and functional impact of internal head and neck lymphoedema in people treated for head and neck cancer.
  • Understand the role of speech pathology in the assessment and management of internal oedema.
  • Identify how internal and external head and neck lymphoedema may interact and influence care planning.
  • Apply strategies to enhance collaboration and referral within multidisciplinary teams, including hospital and private practice settings.
  • Reflect on how patient-centred, team-based approaches improve outcomes for people living with head and neck lymphoedema.
